Watch This Before Starting The Program

Important πŸ“£

The first 7 weeks of content (up until #5 - Gene Regulation) have P.A Tutoring branding instead of Novicate Academy branding.

Novicate only launched in mid-February 2022 which is why the branding is different. The content quality, style and tutor (Phillipe) remain unchanged.

The material is all tailored to the new 2022+ VCE 3/4 Biology course and will be continuously updated throughout the year to ensure quality.

Update for 2023: No Thursday lecture classes, only tutorial classes on the weekend with drop-in clinic help sessions occurring before SAC periods.

Go forth and enjoy!!

Summary of video:

The Master VCE Biology 3/4 Course is designed to supercharge you to achieve a Raw 40+ score.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“ About me πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“

I has an absolute passion for Biology and I managed to score a raw 50 back when I was in high school! I have been tutoring high school students for over 5 years! You might think that getting a score like a raw 50 is so unattainable if you have been struggling academically but my story proves that this isn’t the case.

  • I struggled a lot academically in the earlier part of high school.
  • It was only until I had a massive mindset shift that I went from playing video games for 4 hours a day to studying 6 hours a day to catch up for lost time.
  • And with determination and focus, I created a new path for myself in life.
  • Now, since finishing high school, I've achieved the DUX of Monash University Biomedicine, been to NYC for a UN conference, been tutoring all these years, almost finished medicine and more.
  • This shows that wherever you are now, you can still progress and become the version of you that you want to become with focus, determination and structure. I’ll help you with that.Β

πŸ“š Why do I do tutoring? πŸ“š

While there are many reasons, the main reason is that tutoring is one of the most satisfying roles I’ve had in my life. What makes it so satisfying, it is you guys, being able to form a tutor-student relationship is what helps you feel comfortable sharing your worries with me, so that I can help you succeed, but also I get to hear all about your successes which makes tutoring just so worthwhile.Β

πŸ—“ Program structure πŸ—“ (No lecture classes in 2023+)

  1. The full course program outline can be found on the next page on TeachableΒ
  2. If in gold program:
    1. Each week you will need to watch the theory recordings along with printing out the theory booklets
    2. Then you'll need to complete the question booklets for that topic each week
    3. You must complete both (2) and (3) each week before joining the tutorial class on the weekend.
    4. When joining the tutorial class, Phillipe will will run through a quick-review of the content for that week as well as breakdown each question live.
    5. You should highlight difficult questions and other questions to ask Phillipe during the session.
  3. If in silver program, you should use the calendar to follow along throughout the year and complete all theory booklets, questions and review of answers at your own pace.
  4. Throughout the week you should also ask questions in the private Novicate discord chat.

🧠 Your responsibilities 🧠

  1. It is your responsible to check the calendar throughout the year to make sure you don't fall behind
  2. You are expected to read through the content booklet as part of "pre-study" before the tutorial sessions. During "pre-study" the goal is not to fully understand all the concepts but rather, to expose yourself to the content at least once before attending the lecture session live/viewing the recording.
  3. You are expected to type out your answers to the questions that you found most difficult in order to send these in the tutorial class "zoom chat" to your tutor to review.
  4. After the tutorial class, you are expected to note down all suggestions/improvements and tips made to you and spend at least 30-60 minutes reflecting on this feedback and actually acting on the feedback to improve.
  5. You are expected to continuously review content throughout the program, which means reviewing earlier contents and not leave reviewing all the material until the last minute (cramming).Β

It is your responsibility to let me know when you are feeling demotivated or feeling disengaged with the Master VCE Biology Course. We are absolutely dedicated to making sure that all of you receive lots of value from this program and absolutely annihilate VCE Biology, just as so many of my past students have! Let's become high achievers together πŸ™Œ
